I am having the same problem, took me days to figure out where did the beep come from, drove me nuts! I have mine for 1 year and 3 months now. But why should the battery need replacing when the unit is always on main supply? I watched the video on replacing the battery, I can't get the cover to open!! Why does it have to be so hard?

Re: Provisioning NBN nightmare
Placed NBN order online on the 10th Feb, received the confirmation email etc... Waited a few days and called to check status on the order... Something had gone wrong with the system... Spent an hour on the phone placing the order verbally....again waited a few days and clean to confirm. Order cannot be found and I have apparently provided an incorrect ref no... Tried one last time and was promised a callback from the investigating case manager as he could see the order but could not give any details as to why it wasn't progressing... Two weeks later have not heard back from him and have given up.
NBN Fixed Wireless resource sharing
Hi
We live in a small town, but one day a year we have 10,000 people here for the day and our communications suffer dramatically. As part of the team who organise the event which brings so many people, I am trying to help improve some areas. We intend to have some ATMs connected via NBN Fixed Wireless in the hope that it will be a marked improvement on the overloaded 3g network we had last year.
Can you please let me know whether the high load on the mobile phone networks has any effect on the carrying capacity of the Fixed Wireless which comes from the same tower.
Thanks, Russ

Re: Email from Andy Ellis
What a complete joke Telstra "customer service" is, but I'm not sure it's always the employees' fault. Seems more like the hopeless system with which they have to work.
I have never been so upset and completely frustrated with a company in my life (and I'm 52 and dealt with many companies)!
More than 1 month ago I called them to ask about NBN bundles. In the end I agreed to a modified internet/phone plan with them. I was offered a discount and some special conditions because after being a customer for 19 years I wanted to switch to TPG or IINet for their cheaper offers (how I wish now that I had switched right then). I have since been trying almost daily for that entire time to get a simple written verification of that agreement emailed to me.
I have lost count of the number of emails, phone calls, "leave it with us" messages and live chats that I have made. I have written a formal complaint and received no response. I have received many "your issue is resolved" emails. IT IS NOT RESOLVED!
During two of my phone calls I actually asked the Telstra employees to "promise" me that they would email the details of my plan. They did promise and I actually believed them. Hah! What a fool I am.
And don't you just love it when you call back and can NEVER speak to the same person. Because then they might actually be accountable for what they told you, and the Telstra system couldn't possibly alow that.
It is so bad that my wife and I think it is all being done as part of some psychological experiment to see how much a person can take before they crack.
Just now I received three separate emails from good old Andy Ellis (seriously, how does he keep his job?).
One was a thank you for renewing my plan. I HAVE NOT RENEWED MY PLAN.
One was to let me know I am now on the NBN. But when I log into my Telstra account it says I AM NOT ON THE NBN, and we haven't even had our second visit from a technician yet, nor received our Install Kit.
One was to let me know that the plan change I requested has been completed. WHAT PLAN CHANGE?? The one you won't email me the details of? The email tells me to log in to find out the details of my new plan -- well the only details I could find was that apparently I am on a CONTRACT until 2018. NOOOOOOOOOOO!! I specifically agreed to NO CONTRACT over one month ago. And we all know that everything else I agreed to in that first phone call will not be put in place.
I have absolutely had it. I'm going to the Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman to make a complaint. It's completely pointless phoning Telstra customer service.
Telstra is telling us they have restored services
NBN availability..
Can you tell me approximately when NBN will be available in my area?
Re: Provisioning NBN connection
i entered into a new nbn ready plan last week and on completion i was asked for a date that would suit us for instaillaton date that would suit us so i nominated the 17th march and the 21st march ,when will they arrive or at least let me know when ?, i have a ref no daa88185092 ,i think thats the one for my plan plan .
Re: NBN availability..
Hey
We have no idea what area you are in from the information you have given us, LOL.
You can check the rollout map here:
https://www.telstra.com.au/broadband/nbn/nbn-rollout
The NBN rollout is the responsibility of NBNCo, not Telstra.
http://www.nbnco.com.au/connect-home-or-business/check-your-address.html
Hope this helps.
Re: Provisioning NBN connection
have been on hold with the nbn people for 1 hour so far,was sent there via 24/7 chat, i hope the nbn is quicker than their service
Slow speeds
Hi
- connected to NBN yesterday. Speeds are around 2mbps!!!! Why???
Dynamic IP not working on Telstra NBN
Hello.
When I had ADSL with Telstra, and even when I briefly had FTTP NBN with TPG, I could turn my router off then on again, or go into the router settings and disconnect/reconnect my internet connection and I would instantly get a new IP.
Since switching to the NBN with Telstra, I've not been able to get a new IP. All the various support channels are telling me that I do have a dynamic IP, but none can tell me why I am not bein gassigned a new IP when turning my router off/on.
So I'm asking here.
How do I get a new IP on Telstra NBN?
Also, I'm not using the garbage Telstra Gateway that they send you, I'm using a Netgear Nighthawk D7000 (http://www.netgear.com.au/home/products/networking/modem-routers/D7000.aspx).
Never had an issue with it on Telstra ADSL, nor on the NBN with TPG.

NBN Appointments
Hi, I have appointment for three times to open the NBN, but nobody come and no appointment until now from 10 March. So how should I do? Thank you.
Re: NBN Fixed Wireless resource sharing
Hi Shelley
Thanks for the reply but the article to which you directed me has absolutely nothing to do with the NBN Fixed Wireless service which I asked about.
I asked --
Can you please let me know whether the high load on the mobile phone networks has any effect on the carrying capacity of the Fixed Wireless which comes from the same tower.
Perhaps I should have said "NBN Fixed Wireless" in that sentence rather than just Fixed Wireless.
