Is the house/building the NBN will be connected to in the coverage map?
We had a situation where our property was not fully covered so it was deemed unavailable. I then had a look at the myNBN site and the coverage map and over-layed that over a Google map of my property and identified that our house itself is within the coverage map.
I then contacted Telstra who said I needed to contact NBN Co to get it activated. I did that but the NBN Co said it has to be requested by our RSP. So back to Telstra and requested a property activation via NBN. This happened fairly quickly and about a week later the NBN guy was here to install.
He was a tad annoyed initially as he said no way would we get a signal and it would be a waste of his time. But sure enough he got on the roof and he got a very good signal, to ensure a strong signal a 1.8 meter pole was used to lift the NBN antenna higher, it can be up to 3 metres high (not many know this).
We have had the NBN very stable since Augist 2015
