FTTN connection 3 weeks and 2 appointments

Hello , I ordered a FTTN service on 12th Feb and yesterday 24th Feb I was called by a case manager and given two appointment dates. 15th March for a Telstra appointment and 18th March for a NBN appointement. Why two different appointments ? I have opted for self install . I have an existing ADSL 2 bundle with Telstra using a Gateway Max 799 modem. I also thought 3 weeks was a long time to wait but at least NBN is finally here ! I did ask for an explanation of the appointments and delay but the CM wasn't sure what I was asking him to explain. The CM then repeated the dates and what bundle I had ordered , so I thanked him for his call.
