We recently had the nbn installed using the gateway max TG799vac from Telstra. When I run an Ethernet cable to my Xbox one it won't connect. The Xbox keeps giving me the error "can't find IP address". Two other computers, a PC and a Mac connect fine, as well as several phones.
I have only found similar problems relating to Xbox's NAT settings being strict, and I am assuming in those cases the was a connection. However I have tried all the solutions found to try and open the NAT, such as setting up a static ip, opening ports and assigning dmz.
The Xbox connected fine with the old Telstra 3G modem via cable. I am now very frustrated as I now have the speed and downloads to be able to use it but can't. Please help
