Continuing frustration with Telstra/NBN incompetence. Over the last several weeks I have contacted Telstra 4 times to have our Fixed Wireless service moved from Fast to Very Fast. When on Fast we often downloaded at around 8-9 Mbps and occasionally hit 23 Mbps in the mornings. Now that I have applied for Very Fast we seem to have been moved back to a crawl, typically 3 to 4 Mbps of an evening http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/5257590511 and not much better during the day. This is a case of not being provided with the service that we are paying for.
The interesting thing is that on one occasion when I was speaking to a Telstra agent to try to sort the mess out I ran a quick test and saw 43 Mbps so the potential is definitely there but somewhere the message isn't getting through. I will try again tomorrow.
Broadband wall receiver and wifi modem both restarted several times. The signal is being fed to from the modem via ethernet so wireless isn't a factor (and wifi gives much the same speed).
