Re: Slow NBN

Vodafone was a different situation, as vodafone were both the network owner and service provider... so they could control both factors. In this case Telstra don't have control over the network.

The FTTN information is still limited as it is still being ironed out, NBN Co are still working it all out as they go with FTTN... FTTP they are a little better at managing so far...

I apologise about my typo, ACMA is what I meant, but I do agree that the guidelines for the ACMA do need to be updated since it still considered anything over 1Mbps to be a fit for purpose broadband connection... that is pretty much the only limitation they put in place on their guidelines...

It is normally listed as 'up to' on the speed, which is also how NBN Co list their speeds... which sadly is all they need to do to not be considered misleading... I don't agree with it... but your local federal member would have more pull over getting the government owned NBN Co to fix their issues then anyone... but the whole MTM rollout is a debacle, I doubt it is going to be fixed that soon... because the same issues are happening in most of the FTTN area from what I have seen and heard... it is what happens when you try to do like 5-10 zones at once in an area, after being used to doing only one at a time...

The people who lose out are the end consumer...
