Ok, so perhaps I wasn't clear enough.
What I want to do is completely remove the Telstra provided router (Technicolor TG797n v3) from my network! My setup is currently as follows:
/--->(Phone PORT)--->Phone
NTD--->(WAN PORT)--->Telstra Router---|
\--->(Gigabit PORT)--->SWITCH--->
Hopefully as you can see, we have a phone service provided through our Router. If I want to completely replace the Router, I lose the phone!
What I want to change to is as follows:
NTD--->(WAN PORT)--->Netgear AC1900--->(Gigabit PORT)--->SWITCH--->
|
\/
(Gigabit PORT)
|
\/
Cisco SPA112--->(Phone PORT)--->Phone
That setup is how I need to do it if I still want my phone service without the use of the Telstra provided router.
What I need is the settings required for the Cisco SPA112 (as stated in my original post) to have my phone service work.
After many hours of googling, the official telstra response is to do the following setup:
Phone
/\
|
(Phone PORT)
/\
|
NTD--->(WAN PORT)--->Telstra Router (in bridge mode)
|
\/
(Gigabit PORT)
|
\/
Netgear AC1900
|
\/
(Gigabit PORT)
|
\/
SWITCH--->
The above is just ridiculous!
Hopefully that helps people to understand what i want to do, and what info I need.
