I want to know about connecting my existing cordless phones.
I want to know if it is possible to get call display on VOIP
I want to know if VOIP works with the battery back up in the event of a power outage.
I want to know which providers offer ordinary phone and which offer VOIP only and how to tell since no one makes this explicit.
I want to know if the battery back up unit is free when installed with the NBN unit., I was told it was then the boy on the phone told me it would cost $185.
Currently I am on cable and I reguarly get 28-29Mbs if I go onto a 25-5 plan is this going to be fast enough for my family or should I go for a 50-5 plan? I really resent having to go down in speed and pay more for the privilegde.
Since Foxtel will still be using cable to deliver its service I can't understand why cable internet will be turned off. This is madness but typical of our government.
I'd like to know the pros and cons of going with VOIP for the phone vs going with fiber. My mother has had voip for many years and I am not impressed with it. It's laggy and tinny sounding. She's had technician after technician look at it and they all same thing - there's nothing wrong. It reminds me of STD calls in the 70s.
I'm sure there would be other questions that would crop up in conversation but that's all I can think of right now.
Our existing service will be cut off next month.
