Last week I took the plunge and switched to NBN. The tech came out, did his thing and set it up. On his way out he tells me he has ripped out my central filter as the NBN doesn't need it. Okay I think, he knows what he is talking about. Ever since he removed it, when on adsl for 5 days, and since I have had NBN, I am getting frequent drop outs. I used to get this before the central filter was installed. I paid to have it installed and it fixed a long term, very annoying problem, and now it is back.
Is is there a tech person that can explain whether a filter is useless with the NBN as he said, or did he just mess up my line and cause the drop outs.
