Update to the situation. 10+ calls to telstra, 3 nbn technician appointments where nobody actually turned up (days taken off work) and promises to fix the internet have left me today receiving a new modem to test. Within an hour of plugging it in i get a dropout. Called up again and have basically been told that they are updating the nbn team and that i should call back to add any new information.
How do i actually get anything fixed around here? Like if i stop paying my bill i am legally required to pay it but if i am not getting a service that i am paying for, telstra seems to have no legal requirement to press the issue. I have also been told that i cannot get any compensation until AFTER everything is sorted.
The model of both modems is the TG799vac modem and yet nothing.
