Hi Sonia,
There are 3 possible reasons why....
- Telstra Air (Not likely)
- Neighbour (very likely)
- Fault/Glitch (Not likely)
Telstra Air hotspots are very secure networks and are protected by advanced firewall technology which would prevent anyone from stealing your data or accessing your account.
I have had neighbours in the past that have attempted to hack into my wireless network and I caught them trying to run software through my firewall. They weren't successful but 90% of people don't have firewalls in place at their home. They aren't really needed unless you have remote desktop computers and data storage servers inside your network. Without a firewall, you are prone to people accessing your network without authorisation, very easily!
Faults and glitches are not likely given the amount of testing the routers go through.
I would suggest you make your way online ASAP to Telstra's livechat website for assistance so you don't have to wait in the queue on the phone for a consultant.

Will
