I've found the same problem. All other forms of connection (via mobile phone, via 3G wireless setup, hotel wifi etc) work but when I use my Telstra NBN (FTTN) connection is intermittent, possibly similar to fiber to the basement. If I use a VPN the connection works but why should I need to use a VPN? Very strange. Rebooting/resetting router seems to help for a while but next day or a couple of days later the connection to Office365 exchange is "disconnected" again and I have to go through it all again. Rebooting PC, restarting Outlook etc doesn’t help either. Tried different routers, different phone line (Telstra NBN FTTN from Neighbor) but same issue. Speed tests are ok… 29Mbps (nowhere near what I am paying for[paying for up to 100Mbps] but much much faster than my ADSL2+). VPN and rebooting/resetting router daily is getting me through the issue for now. I’m not feeling like spending hours on the phone at the moment. Hopefully it sorts itself out for me too in time…
