Hi Baz-Darwin,
From what you have written it looks like you've taken this as far as you can within Tesltra, so I am hoping basic troubleshooting has been followed in order to diagnose your issue. However you may wish to try the following, assuming that you have an NBN service.
To get an accurate picture of the speeds available to the whole of your NBN service rather than just one device. Please try the following:
- Restart the modem and test the speed once it has finished reconnecting.
- Connect your computer directly to the UNI-D port on the NBN Connection Box (NTD) and compare the speedtest results. If it has improved, the modem may need to be returned to factory defaults.
- If this hasn't fixed your issue and you are primarily using WiFi enabled devices to connect to your modem, I would suggest having a look at the following WiFi troubleshooting article, which you may find resolves your issue. It contains tips, an online tool and a downloadable app which can help in optimising your connection. I usually find that changing the channel the modem transmits the WiFi signal on can help. You
- may have to try a few different channels before finding an optimal one. http://crowdsupport.telstra.com.au/t5/General-Internet-KB/WiFi-Troubleshooting/ta-p/107516
If you are not on an NBN service then please try the following speed troubleshooting tips
