Connecting Home Phone

I have successfully connected to the MBM today but cannot get my home phone to work. It is a telstra 12200 cordless and is plugged in to the rear of the provided modem. The phone LED on the modem is green. In the modem Home page under Telephony it says ENABLED and my phone number is registered.

The Telstra help line has a 20 min wait which I cannot afford on my mobile.

Has anyone got any ideas.
