Someone please help. I am at my wits end. So I just signed up to an NBN bundle and received my white modem about 3 weeks ago. It was all self install for the NBN and apparently all I had to do was plug it in and off she goes. So hit a brick wall. My NBN box is located inside the garage and there is a port in the study with a cable to connect to the modem. All worked fine with another provider set up this way. Now when I connect the Telstra modem via the WAN red cable nothing happens. No online light. When I connect the WAN red cable directly to my computer, BANG. Internet! When I connect my computer directly to the NBN box, internet. Everything works until I connect the modem via the WAN cable from the wall to modem. WTF. Telstra have said it is not their issue as NBN is being supplied to the home and I have to get an electrician. I have done that and the electrician is as baffled as I am. Someone please help.
