Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I just found some strange information from NBN website may explain my situation. My house is a corner block and is the last house has the Telstra cable connection. When I check with my neighbour's address who does not have the cable conneciton, message pop up as "NBN service is availabel in your area". When using my neighbour's address who has cable conneciotn, the message is "now you can switch to NBN network". Does it mean anything differently? Apparently in NBN's system, my house is treated as no existing cable connection. As my current fix term contract with Telstra has ended, I would like to choose one of the NBN plan which is faster than current with more data but at the similar price.
