Re: HFC or FTTN?

NBN are using FTTN in certain areas with HFC, they are using a mixture and there is no guarantee of type until NBN do the works and activate the area. They often won't even tell you what they just call them all 'fixed line' (for FTTN, HFC, FTTB, FTTdp, and FTTP) normally now if you search on their website.

If they are saying FTTN, it means it is most likely going to be FTTN, that could be because they had already started prep for it as FTTN, because the HFC wasn't suitable, because the HFC didn't cover the entire zone. There is a range of reasons. But they would be going on what the nbn portal would be telling them which is nbn co's system so it should be right.
