On the Wurtulla exchange, and have just switched over to the NBN . I was getting 17-18 mbs down and the -1 up on adsl 2.
On NBN the speed is around 18-19 down and 4up.
I registered for the 100/40 speedboost and when after three days there was no boost, rang Telstra and they then applied the boost.
Result?
21 down and 10 mbs up'
Have been on the phone for a few hours over the last week or so and it has been handpassed to level 2 tech support'
Somehing was said about "congestion" and bandwith allocations being upgraded, which took place yesterday.
The result? 18 down and 8 up ,
I am among the first to be connected in this area, so I cannot see "congestion" being the culprit.
I cant see any value in paying for a "Boost" when there is none.
Anyone else have any ideas what to do next?
Very hard dealing with overseas tech support.
Am almost wishing I had stayed with Adsl .... at least I would still have a phone that worked wnen the modem is down.
Gotta love our future proofed technology ..... gotta have a mobile phone with you when the support team is trying to help, otherwise moden reset = lost call.
And this is the future ??
