I am on an ADSL contract until March 2017. When I signed up last year, I was told I could upgrade to the new NBN plans when NBN became available without any exit fees on my current contract. I would just have to agree to a new 2 year contract. When I went onto the 24/7 app and asked this question, I was told no, I would have to pay out my existing contract. My ADSL drops out consistently, which I told them and they said my service came up fine on the tests they run.
Could someone from Telstra please confirm what is the correct information as i would like to change to NBN which will hopefully stop the drop outs I keep having..
