Re: Powerline Adapter

Hey

There are a few things to consider before choosing the option of a Powerline Extender.

These devices rely on the power circuits within your house. If these are not up to scratch, then you will experience packet loss and drop outs.

You will also have signal loss for each electrical appliance and device you have connected to your power sockets that are on the same circuit as the extender.

It's also worth mentioning that both ends of this device MUST be connected to power sockets that are on the same circuit in your switch board. So if you have multiple circuits for the power points in your home, then you may need to have an electrician check this to ensure the 2 power points you want to use are on the same circuit.

We also recommend that the device be connected directly to the wall socket, and not into a double adapter or power board.

Circuits that are on a tariff that is controlled by your power supply company can also cause some issues with this devices usability, reliability and function.

Let me know if you have any questions about this and I'll be happy to help out or point you in the right direction.

- Matt
